{"id":1294,"date":"2010-03-17T09:00:05","date_gmt":"2010-03-17T08:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/?p=1294"},"modified":"2010-03-25T11:36:36","modified_gmt":"2010-03-25T10:36:36","slug":"papertoy-bizz-part-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/2010\/03\/17\/papertoy-bizz-part-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Papertoy bizz &#8211; part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m currently working on making that papertoy bizz somewhat official.<br \/>\nSo I&#8217;ve started a business (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eMCeeKay.nl\">eMCeeKay.nl<\/a> <-- not a lot to see there yet) with a officials <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kvk.nl\/\">KvK<\/a> (Kamer van Koophandel = chamber of commerce) etc&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>And you need a business card and that got me wondering about some other business card related items:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business card stand<\/li>\n<li>Business card holder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t resist looking for paper versions of these items.<\/p>\n<div class='highlight'>I used my day job business card for this: I think they have a common size use in the Netherlands.<br \/>\nThe card is 85mm x 55mm (W x H)<\/div>\n<p><strong>In this post I&#8217;ll be focussing on the Business card stand!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Business card stand<\/h2>\n<h3>Simple business card <strike>iPhone iPod<\/strike> stand<\/h3>\n<p>This one is so simple <strike>that I didn&#8217;t search further<\/strike><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/image\/FYMLPAWF5R8IUPY\/Simple-business-card-iPhone-iPod-stand.jpg\" alt=\"End result Business card stand from a business card\" width=\"500px\" \/><br \/>\nI found it on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Simple-business-card-iPhone--iPod-stand\/\">instructables.com<\/a> so visit them for the whole story.<\/p>\n<p>But I need vector files, not just a sketch! So I converted the instructions into a vector file:<br \/>\n<object data=\"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/business_stand.svg\" width=\"325\" height=\"210\" type=\"image\/svg+xml\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/business_stand.png\" \/><\/object><br \/>\nAnd now the download: this is a little experiment so hope it works:<br \/>\n<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/business_stand.svg\">Download the template as .SVG<\/a> (use &#8220;Save Link As&#8230;&#8221;)<\/em><br \/>\nUse the standard functionality from your browser and save it as &#8220;.svg&#8221; (Firefox will save it as .XML but that file won&#8217;t open in Illustrator)<\/p>\n<p>btw: there is even an instruction how to make this stand without a template; just with folding and another business card!
