{"id":280,"date":"2007-06-13T23:52:14","date_gmt":"2007-06-13T22:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/index.php\/2007\/06\/13\/papercraft-prototype-spraycan-part-3\/"},"modified":"2007-06-13T23:52:29","modified_gmt":"2007-06-13T22:52:29","slug":"papercraft-prototype-spraycan-part-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/2007\/06\/13\/papercraft-prototype-spraycan-part-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Papercraft prototype: Spraycan &#8211; part 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I imported the .KMZ file made by <a href=\"http:\/\/sketchup.google.com\/index.html\">Google Sketchup<\/a>, which I made in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/?p=279\">part 2<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/?p=274\">this series<\/a>, to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamasoft.co.jp\/pepakura-en\/\">Pepakura designer<\/a> and I wasn&#8217;t totally happy with the end result:<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/www.matthijskamstra.nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/spraycan_printsheet2.jpg' alt='Spraycan - Pepakura' width=\"450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I contribute the in some cases strange &#8220;decisions&#8221; from Pepakura to:<br \/>\n&#8211; my very basic modeling skills (I have none)<br \/>\n&#8211; Pepakura can&#8217;t think like a human&#8230; (It just works like a machine) and makes strange decisions.<br \/>\n&#8211; I made the 3d model in one part.<\/p>\n<p>I tried to clean up the 3d model, but I was getting nowhere.
